Street Level Artists Agency was founded by Larry Norman in the early 70's. He and pals Randy Stonehill, Daniel Amos and others were the Christian radicals of their time, intent on bringing the Gospel into the rock 'n roll vernacular of the common man. These were musical artists addressing those who would not darken a church door and those who believed but did not find resonance with the music being played in the church.
Current owner, Holly Benyousky, came to the agency in 1977 as a part time secretary and three years later, she became convinced that her mission was to stand with artists whose faith and art could change the world Under her direction Street Level Artists Agency has represented many of the first CCM artists such as Mark Heard, Tom Howard, Noel Paul Stookey (of Peter, Paul, & Mary fame), Richey Furay, Sweet Comfort Band, Steve Taylor, Seventy Sevens and many other musical innovators.
2007 will be the 30th year of Holly Benyousky's involvement with Street Level Artists Agency which continues to represent some of the most artistic and committed Christians in music.
